Piling Contractors

Based on the soil and the surrounding area, our piling contractors will provide recommendations on the best piling solution for your project

Expert piling contractors using the most innovative and appropriate piling solution for the site at hand.

The practice of piling is a construction method used in commercial and residential projects to transfer loads through weak strata to stronger, compact soil or rock at depth. Effective piling increases the effective size of your foundations providing strong platforms for large structural loads. When slope stability is compromised, existing structures face foundation challenges, or deep excavations are planned, piling provides an effective long term solution.

At Ground Stabilisation Systems (GSS), we are experienced at implementing innovative piling and micro piling systems. Depending on the site, we can provide earth retention and piling services, anchoring, shotcrete services, and more.

In our experience, there are two reliable methods of piling to provide structural stability. One method is high capacity bored piling – often used on rock strata.. The second method is CFA piling, which provides stability through friction and bearing and is a suitable solution for use near existing structures.

Based on the soil and the surrounding area, our piling contractors will provide recommendations on the best piling solution for your project, then implement these recommendations in a safe and time efficient manner.

We’re committed to ensuring your project is completed on-time and on-budget. Get in touch with the team from Ground Stabilisation Systems for reliable and experienced advice in earth retention and stabilisation.

Piling Techniques

We use a wide range of specialist piling techniques to improve the safety of excavation or ground stabilisation projects. These techniques include:

  • Bored piles
  • Continuous flight auger (CFA) piles
  • Screw Piles
  • Micro piles

Each of these techniques will be implemented with care and safety in mind. Our number one priority is ensuring the safety of every team member on-site, while securing the safety of the surrounding area and community.

Bored Piles are typically poured in place and provide structural stability by transferring the load through bearing. They are high-capacity and cast-in-place foundation elements preferred in locations with decomposed rock overlaying a strata of sound rock. They are often used where a driving pile technique is not suitable.

Suitable for most soil conditions, CFA Piles are formed by driving a continuous flight auger into the ground. They provide stability through friction and bearing and are an effective solution for use near existing structures as the approach is virtually vibration free.

Screw Piles, also known as Helical Piles, are a deep foundation system quickly installed to bearing depth by twisting into soil strata. They are suitable for difficult to access areas and are removable and reusable.

Micro piles are high performance, high capacity drilled deep foundation elements of a smaller diameter (50mm to 300mm). They are drilled or grouted in-place piles designed to take compression and tension loading. Installed with relatively small drilling equipment, they are ideal in areas of limited access or restricted headroom with minimal impact to surrounding structures.
