IN 2018, GROUND STABILISATION SYSTEMS ASSISTED SYDNEY TRAINS TO INSTALL ROCKFALL NETTING AND GROUND ANCHORS TO PROTECT THE RAILS.
The Otford rail cutting is 150m long and an average 18m high. The Sydney Trains design was a culmination of 5,000sqm of rockfall netting, 5000sqm of Enkamat and 115 anchors to be installed throughout the cutting.
GSS carried out these works during the designated rail shutdown periods, which was a total of 8 days.
