IN JULY 2019, GROUND STABILISATION SYSTEMS USED A ROCKFALL NETTING SYSTEM TO PREVENT ROCK SLIDES IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA OF ADELAIDE.

This project was very rewarding to the team as the impact on the residents was evident. Numerous condos were built under an embankment which is 15m high.

Over a period of 3 years, the stability of the rock face had deteriorated and numerous small rocks had penetrated into the backyard of residents, thankfully with no one being injured.

GSS installed an active rockfall netting system which consisted of rock bolts at numerous lengths.

The clients and residents in the area were extremely grateful for the efforts that the team had put in.
